12Welcome Commander. Elite dangerous can be a dauntingly scary game for beginners. But it doesn't have to be. Commander Devir has put together a guide on surviving your first days in Elite as well as making some glorious cash.
In this guide we're covering the juicy and raw basics. The importance of going through the keymappings before ever leaving the hanger. Cmdr Devir made this mistake and spent 2 hours floating around the station to figure it all out.
Then we take you to a quicky tour of the various cockpit views and the corresponding keys to get to them. Being familiar with the ship and it's workings is very important before even leaving the parking lot. Same goes for buying a new car.
Elite is a wonderful game with a rather steep learning curve. There's no tutorials in the game so most commanders are on their own. It's with hope this guide series can help lessen the learning curve.
