This video is part 1 of a 2 part series that gives all the details of how to mine platinum in a hazardous (it's not dangerous) resource site to make the most credits possible from mining. It's aimed at players, who are new to mining or who have some mining experience. You should be able to make 40 million per hr immediately by using a Type 6, then between 100 and 140 million per hr when you progress to a Python after a few hours.

This part covers some basic concepts of mining, ship load-outs referenced to the Type 6, how to mine with lasers and how to deal with the pirates in a haz RES.
