As far as I'm concerned the new release of Elite Dangerous Odyssey is broken and should never have been released in this state. I decided to do a bit of a comparison video to show some of the major issues with visuals, framerate and design changes to the game, such as the in-game menus.


I know that for many the game is probably running just fine, especially if you are not playing it in VR, but Frontier Developments have essentially released a game that is unfinished.


In Horizons I run the game in Ultra VR setting, in Odyssey to get some sort of smooth gameplay I have to play the game in Low VR mode, and even then on foot it is still not a smooth experience.


At this time I truly cannot recommend the game to anyone, and since the Steam reviews are mostly negative, I guess I am far from alone with that opinion.
