Elypse Demo - Ascend from the Abyss in this 2D Dark Action Platformer with Metroidvania Elements
24A quick playthrough of the demo for Elypse, an upcoming platformer with some Metroidvania elements, although the focus is more heavily on the platformer side. Thrown into the abyss as a sacrifice since that's something that's done every ten years for fun, Fay has to now escape from the Abyss for nebulous reasons (besides being in an utter hellhole) with the help of Nyx and dashing that resembles a certain bash ability.
Looks quite lovely so far with some obvious Ori and Hollow Knight influences. It appears that more dashing/thorns are gained throughout the game for some impressive chaining of abilities to navigate dangerous obstacles.
