1Today we archive a very sunny indie game that lets us play as a female fencer who fights against the oppressive powers in Spain to protect the common folk. En Garde! is an action adventure where the combat feels a bit like Souls Like games where dodging and parrying is important. You will get to face against an increasing variety of enemies that need different strategies to take out.
You can use your environment in deferent ways to stun your opponents like kicking them into weapon stands or throwing a bucket on their head. This makes battles fun and frantic and the overall colorful vibe is gorgeous. It really feels like the remnants of summer when you turn on this game and the game doesn't take itself too serious. I would have loved to see actual cutscenes with moving animations and models, but overall En Garde! is a great time for those who want to go on a Mediterranean vacation full of action!
