As we finish our first big group project, after getting a lot of emails about partners dropping the ball, I wanted to say that, well, that's why I have you do a medium-sized project like this in groups. Computer Science is a group endeavor, and people in your groups will drop the ball in the future, and you need to be ready for that.
Don't give up or drop out - just stay on the grind and keep practicing and it will all make sense eventually
