151Resident Evil has enjoyed supreme popularity for a number of reasons, and let’s face it- Umbrella’s Tyrants have certainly contributed sizeably to it. The concept of a bioweapon is not exactly groundbreaking and in many other cases it has not always been received well either. However, the Tyrant Project was executed with such brilliance that it has almost single-handedly made Resident Evil into what it is today. And sure, they did not get it right at once but many fascinating and terrifying models later they did come up with Tyrants like the Nemesis-T Type, which really need no introduction. Ultimately, from the conception of the project to its execution and numerous revisions, Umbrella gave us a whole horde of Tyrants, each more formidable than the previous. And it made the franchise more interesting and challenging.
