EU is based on an RCE (real cash economy). Today we want to see if you can make real money as a virtual space pirate in Entropia.
A few years ago there were players who made a LOT of money being a space pirate in EU. But Mindark changed how space works so there is very little PVP area left. There are also VERY few players who carry lootables into space. Because of this space piracy has all but disappeared from Entropia Universe.
Even trying to be a pirate will be bad because you will be blackballed. Piracy is frowned on in EU and you will be giving up most forms of social interaction to even attempt it.
The past few days a seemingly new player named Ernest has tried their hand at being a space pirate. Today his brilliant idea was to attack the Mothership Kronan. One of the ships with the highest structural integrity in game. It takes HUNDREDS of mobs to try and damage this ship. Yet Ernest had the brilliant idea of trying to shoot down the Kronan with nothing but his Quad-Wing Interceptor.
Learning about the game is important because it saves you PED but also because it stops you from making bad decisions. Attacking the MS Kronan, during a VSE run, when the entire crew has no loot and is actively repairing the ship, is a pretty bad idea if I've ever seen one.
To make the encounter even better Ernest doesn't understand that you can't submit a support case simply because someone defends their ship.
Entropia Universe is a GREAT PC based MMORPG. It's one of the few games based on a real cash economy it's a fun game and can make you some Project Entropia Dollars. But if you are going to play then take the time to learn as much about the game as you can.
Learning about Entropia Universe will help you play smarter. It will help your PED go further. But it will also keep you from making extremely bad decisions.
Even if being a virtual space pirate was financially profitable you will be an outcast. Other players will hate you and you will not have an enjoyable gaming experience. You will not get invited to events and will have few friends if any.
