Entropia Universe: Why New Players Should STILL Be Hunting L3 Exo Young At North Swamp Camp In 2023!

Today we went back to North Swamp Camp to see if new players should still be hunting Level 3 Exarosaur Young in 2023. We needed to finish up our Codex so it seemed like a good time to see if this is still profitable.
It's true that since we first put this information out there the drop rate on Blazar fragments has been nerfed...but not as much as you would think. To try and mimic a new player experience we decided to skill some mindforce since our MF skills lag so far behind. However our skills in defense and looter are still significantly higher than a new players will be.
Keep in mind that the system rewards you with loot AND skills and new players will gain skills quickly which will effect both TT loot returns and may also impact loot composition because skills have real cash value.
Also keep in mind that new players will likely use less than ideal weapons set ups. TT items, items without amps and extenders. Most new players are still getting up to speed on what a proper weapon set up even looks like so our weapon set up was probably closer to ideal than most new players would have.
Our actual results? 270 PED TT cycled with 280 PED TT returned and 249 blazar fragments looted. The demand and MU on those fragments is still a predictable 10 PED per 1k frags meaning we generated 2.5 PED worth of mark up.
Yes our run was TT positive but it was a small run of only about 1300 kills. Long term we know our TT returns will be about 95% because Mindark has to take part of the funds we cycle in order to pay the bills and keep the lights on so the game continues to exist. So we can take this information and make a generalized conclusion:
In about 250 PED cycled we could normally expect to lose 12.5 PED of TT value. But by looting 250 blazar fragments we would generate 2.5 PED of mark up reducing out losses by 20%!
If we add the mark up from the rest of our loot it is STILL possible to get to breakeven of even to make a small profit hunting L3 Exarosaur young at north swamp camp!
NOTE: We also looted a few Unreal Tokens with MU of 10 PED each so we are CLEARLY in the profit zone after this run!
After this experiment we still think this is the BEST opportunity in game for new players in 2023! But more importantly; it's better than the alternatives. Even if you do have some small losses the mark up you generate will offset those losses BETTER than any other method available to brand new players. If there's a better opportunity for brand new players we have yet to find it!
