We're playing the steam version for PC and it's the stream including chat.
Due to it's cryptic and obscure nature, the stream had many lengths and unsuccessful explorations. In order to keep the video more interesting, I removed many of those passages while trying to keep the gameplay naturally looking. I hope you enjoy the video.
The first feature that is recognized about this game is its extremely pixelted but effectful graphics. These combined with superb controls deliver great gameplay. Jumps and fights feel in general fair and rewarding. In general, the game can be compared to a Metroid game. You start off weak and without any upgrades, discover the map that is gradually unlocked and fight small enemies and bosses. The difficulty starts off easily, but builds up heavily. The game features a lot of content including several endings and areas locked away until the first completion.
It has been developed by Hempuli, who is currently working on the successor ESA2.
