Ladies and gents, the time has arrived for Osvald to join the team. This is the story of a man who was sent to prison after being framed for the murder of his wife and daughter. Now, 5 years later, he plans his escape to take revenge on the man who framed him and took away his family. Harvey... why did he do it? What could have possibly been his goal? We'll be introduced to events leading up to the hatched escape plan, going through 2 whole chapters! As the game forces you to do both back to back (I was so surprised when I learned this). I can confidently say that Osvald's story was not one I was expecting. Where I began in my thoughts regarding his story and character are so VERY different from where I ended. His journey is one I'm glad to have experienced. So what lies in store for our magical and revenge consumed scholar?...

I am a huge fan of the Octopath series. I played the first game (Octopath Traveler) about two years ago and fell in love. I was so touched by the amazing stories, music, and overall game design that I then dedicated the next year of my life to writing and editing a 2 hour video essay discussing the stories and the impact they had on me... and my favorite funny moments lol (considering I had 156 hours of gameplay this is impressive. These games are big... rpgs be like) -    • OCTOPATH: The Game that Changed my Life   - So if you are a fan of the series, or want a nice summary for the entirety of the first game, feel free to check that out :) And having finally finished that colossal project I'm finally here, free to play Octopath Traveler 2, and once again experience an amazing journey... This is a story you won't want to miss.

PS: I have had a lot of people ask me this, so I'm just putting the answer here
- Yes, I have already played through the entirety of OT2. I beat it back in November of 2023. I decided I'd enjoy the game in my own time, but record my play through to edit later. You'll see I often put notes on screen relating to things that happen later in the game, or thoughts on events from a future perspective, and this is why. I'll be honest I've really enjoyed doing this series this way, and I'll probably continue to do that with other series in the future.
