Ep 15 | You should have woken up by now! | OT2 Ochette Chapter 2 Cateracta and Tera's Routes
59Ochette is on the hunt! After switching up the party a bit I head to Conning Creek to find Cateracta... or at least what remains of her and the child she left behind. Now having Acta on the team, I head to Crackridge to get Tera's help in fighting off The Night of the Scarlet Moon. Upon arriving, I discover my team is largely under-leveled. Exiting town to level up my travelers I run into something... strange. After this event the night turns to day, leaving me confused as I continue leveling up my party, getting one cait encounter which speed's up my efforts. Feeling sufficiently powerful, I head back to town to awaken Tera from his long slumber. Upon doing so, it becomes clear there is a common thread beginning to form; one of a Dark Hunter hunting the beasts of legend...

I am a huge fan of the Octopath series. I played the first game (Octopath Traveler) about two years ago and fell in love. I was so touched by the amazing stories, music, and overall game design that I then dedicated the next year of my life to writing and editing a 2 hour video essay discussing the stories and the impact they had on me... and my favorite funny moments lol (considering I had 156 hours of gameplay this is impressive. These games are big... rpgs be like) - • OCTOPATH: The Game that Changed my Life - So if you are a fan of the series, or want a nice summary for the entirety of the first game, feel free to check that out :) And having finally finished that colossal project I'm finally here, free to play Octopath Traveler 2, and once again experience an amazing journey... This is a story you won't want to miss.

PS: I have had a lot of people ask me this, so I'm just putting the answer here
Yes, I have already played through the entirety of OT2. I beat it back in November of 2023. I decided I'd enjoy the game in my own time, but record my play through to edit later. You'll see I often put notes on screen relating to things that happen later in the game, or thoughts on events from a future perspective, and this is why. I'll be honest I've really enjoyed doing this series this way, and I'll probably continue to do that with other series in the future.
