"OCTRIX is an intriguing game of eights. Each player receives eight cards. Each round consists of eight tricks. And the first player to score eighty-eight points wins!

Each hand is "posted" on an OCTRIX board so everyone knows exactly what cards are held by each player. Skillful evaluation of all hands is essential as each player plots his strategy-attempting to score more points by taking tricks in sequence. For 2 to 4 players."
