My name is Pat Wollip, a Brotherhood of Steel scout. I have been assigned two tasks. First, I am to initiate the construction of a forward base and ensure its continued survival and growth. The primary goal of this base is to establish a Brotherhood presence in the Mojave that will be used as a launching point to both monitor the rapidly expanding New California Republic and secure key technological monuments such as Helios One and Hoover Damn. I am authorized to use any means necessary to acquire these locations for the Brotherhood, as well as any other locations I discover while scouting the wasteland.

The second mission is the same mission all members of the Brotherhood share - the collection and preservation of technology. I have been issued special rights by the Elder to recruit anyone I deem necessary to accomplish my task, and as such I will be heading to the I88 Trading Post to recruit a steel sister by the name of Veronika Santangelo. She is a expert in melee combat and will serve as my personal bodyguard as I scout the wasteland for a suitable location to begin construction. I share similar views to her and as such we will be working together to not only establish a base but also expand the dwindling ranks of the Brotherhood by recruiting outsiders. This plan likely wont be well received among the Brotherhood, but by successfully establishing a base and capturing these monuments of technological prowess with help from a bunch of outsiders we hope to change their outdated views on recruitment.

I was ambushed by a strangely dressed faction known as Caesars Legion shortly after entering the Mojave after my journey from the Capital Wasteland. It's not an official mission, but I plan to keep an eye on them as well as the NCR. If needed, we will eliminate them both in order to secure the Brotherhoods future in the Mojave.
