Initially I wasn't sure if I liked the NEW PLAY-STYLE, but having sunk some serious hours into the game now...I can confirm it is MUCH BETTER than the original. You want Depth? You want a REAL Challenge? This IS it.

โ ๏ธ New game, Huge amounts of depth so will take time to evolve this review.
POINTS OF INTEREST
๐ต Take a small population and save them, quickly becomes manage multiple settlements.
๐ต You WILL have to make some harsh decisions you don't want to.
๐ต The political implementation of factions etc.. IS sublime.
๐ต This is probably the best implemented game I have ever seen.
๐ต Massive layers of complexity.
๐ต Deeper than the deepest ocean! & much bigger than the original.
๐ต More challenging than getting the truth out of a Politician!
๐ต Endless expansion.
๐ต Good performance (Vastly improved over the demo).
๐ต Nice cut scenes throughout.
๐ต Epic gameplay variety...Never the same game twice!
๐ต 5 -- YES 5 levels of difficulty I am on Officer and that is pleasingly TOUGH.

โ๏ธ Much bigger and better than the original, concept is BIGGER and not focused on individuals.
โ๏ธ One of the tightest and well implemented strategy games of all time.
โ๏ธ 5 levels of challenge...This will test even the best RTS players in the world.
โ๏ธ You CAN play how you want, follow YOUR beliefs...It becomes immersive as heck.
โ๏ธ Nice animations and cut scenes etc.. just help it keep plodding along nicely.

โ Mouse pointer is TOO SMALL (on 4K) please add option to make it larger.
โ OK the ONLY Serious issue with this game, explaining itself. So many times the challenge is too brief or badly worded and I waste so much time doing the wrong thing or doing the right thing wrong...Just a few extra words here and there could resolve this.
