Kamu make a series of developer tools for preventing cheating, providing game analytics as well as community engagement. That anti-cheating software is used by Fortnite (Smite, Paladins, FarCry5, Rust and many other AAA games), so Epic certainly knew what they were getting.

While not announced, I imagine this technology will ultimately be incorporated into Unreal Engine in some manner. Additionally this provides Epic Games a developer presence and new office in Helsinki Finland.
