Old review being repurposed for new show! Sorry for audio quality. Awesome game! Top tier game, highly recommended

A combination hack-n-slash / beat'em'up & action RPG, with a somewhat cheesy -- albeit believable and coherent -- storyline, with branching paths and multiple endings. This is a prime example of what can be done with concept of Golden Axe, given modern game design ideas and hardware.

This is one of best Sega Saturn games ever released, and it's a shame that it hasn't been re-released on a plethora of new platforms. While lacking a famous IP, the game itself offers gameplay that is timeless.

I purchased this game in late 1997 for under $20 and now it is sold for over $100, and in some cases over $200 USD, complete-in-box. It was available for Xbox360 on the Live Arcade.
