Episode 62 - Commodore 64 Exploring Disks Copy Program - David Bradley PET Vic-20 Amiga
2I was going through some disks and found this interesting looking box so I decided it was time to explore a bit and relive the joy of using the 1541 and/or the 1571 with a Commodore 64.
The screen view was my first try at this since having to return the iPod Touch to the little girl who lost it, but despite my early efforts to try to make contact with them about this, months went by before the thing started to ring and report that it was indeed lost...glad to get it back to her, but using an iPad to record was difficult and will take some experimentation.
The program that I ended up finding on these wayward disks was pretty fast, had a way to verify what was written, and seemed to be well done, but I still like using a 4040 to backup disks...might not be as fast, and yes, there are things that will not copy successfully that way, but I always worry about some of these copy programs and crude viruses of the past...
