1Testing another Commodore 64, and yes, trying out the DEAD 64 Cartridge, time to open one up and have a look! This machine might have been used with a BusCard.
In the old days, indeed, we would get books and magazines and type in programs. Many old computer owners did this. I used to visit a fellow with an Apple II and he had a pool table. So, if you lost, you had to go type...there was great motivation to win and not be called onto to type. Most of the time, there were errors in the programs either in the book or other publication, but of course, it only took one slip on the keyboard to produce an error!
Time to look for a 1541 to go with the Commodore 64 that might be leaving the nest!
Always use extreme caution when opening up a Commodore 64 and make sure the power supply is not even plugged into the machine. You do not want to do more harm than good when investigating these electronic relics.
