Episode 99 - Commodore 64 1520 Printer Plotter Testing A Rare Relic - David Bradley C64 C64C C-64
Commodore Business Machines made all sorts of accessories to go with the Commodore 64, and the 1520 printer plotter was indeed, a neat little item. Perhaps not as quick as other printers, but with some skill in programming, you could have it print out all sorts of things, not just letters and numbers, but graphs and really, most anything your imagination could muster.
It came with four different colour pens and really, that is what they were...tiny little pens. Not at sure how many of these were made and/or sold, but they were a neat thing to have in your collection even if you did not use it very often. It certainly made interesting sounds unlike that of any other printer.
This unit needs some attention, perhaps lubrication and/or calibration. But it seems to be all there and has the potential to be happy and working again!
By the way, this little gem is unit #6, which it took me a bit of time to figure out...
