Episode Gladiolus REVIEW - Recap, Story, Cor, Cup Noodles, Etc. (Spoilers) - Final Fantasy XV DLC
I just finished playing Episode Gladiolus of the Final Fantasy XV (15) DLC, and…
Well -- Here ya go.
Here is a full, professionally edited review and recap on Final Fantasy XV's DLC episode - Episode Gladiolus - complete with gameplay, cutscenes, and a whole lotta my opinion.
Am I seriously the only one who feels this way about Gladio? Tell me in the comments! I want to know!
*THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS for both EPISODE GLADIOLUS and the FINAL FANTASY XV MAIN GAME*

Episode Gladiolus game elements I discuss in detail:
• Visuals - The whole episode is pretty much just a big rock dungeon, so does it look like one?
• Gladio's Theme Song / OST / Music - It's no Yasunori Mitsuda or Nobuo Uematsu, so how does the music stack up?
• Combat - A heckofa lot slower than I'm used to, but...
• Cor - What interesting facts did we learn... but really not learn... about his backstory? (And why the heck does Cor look so much like General Glauca?? I don't mention that in this video, but I should have, because I just about accidentally used a video clip of the WRONG DUDE because they look so similar.)
• Cup Noodles - Just like in the main game, the product placement here is so bad, it's totally awesome.
• Story - We saw Gladio ditch the brotherhood in the main game, and now we finally find out what he was doing during that time. And it's... a bit lackluster.
• Linear Gameplay - Everyone pretty much has the same start-to-finish experience in the time it takes to cook a frozen lasagna for dinner.
• Gladio's Arc -- It doesn't exist.
• Character -- While Gladio's character adds humanistic qualities and interesting scenes to the main game, it doesn't have the same effect when he's left on his own. Sorry Gladio peeps.
I created this review because I sincerely love Final Fantasy XV, and since film/video is my favorite vehicle of creative expression (as well as my career), here we are!
Since I can’t seem to shake the obsession with this game (nor do I really want to), expect more Final Fantasy XV content from me in the future -- I’ve got some pretty cool stuff in the works, so subscribe and hit that bell to be the first to know when anything is released.
Happy to be a part of the Final Fantasy community since 1998!
