[Escape] #29 - Chart Room || 999 (Interactive, 100%)
Part 29 of my interactive 100% playthrough of 999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors on the Nintendo DS.
In this part, we solve the mysteries of the Chart Room. Here's some explanations for the puzzles found in this room:
—— The Steering Wheel ——
To start this puzzle, investigate the steering wheel on the left screen after having found the navigation chart and used it on the map on the wall. To solve this puzzle, use the directions described in the files you found and input them one after the other (south, west, southwest, northwest, east, north). To make sure you actually stop on the right compass direction, it's recommended to stop the steering wheel just before reaching the direction you actually want. The wheel will keep going until it reaches the next available direction, and stop there. When you're done, one of the handles of the steering wheel will come loose, and you'll pick it up.
—— The Engine Order Telegraph ——
To start this puzzle, you must use the handle you found in the previous puzzle on the engine controller next to the steering wheel. The puzzle works the same way as the other. Simply go to the files you found earlier, note the speeds going by the direction of the arrows (Full, Half, Slow, Full, Half, Dead, Stop), then input them on the machine by clicking on them. You can track which inputs you've done on the upper screen. When you're done, you'll be able to investigate the electronic panel in the room.
