Biography
The ideas for the project that is now named Eternal Crypt began to emerge somewhere around 2013. Though this project has gone through several different forms and lineup changes over the years, in the present day, Eternal Crypt remains mainly a two man studio project between Zane Knight and Michael Adams. Based in Rochester NY, the project was conceived by Knight as a counteraction to the direction of sound other bands in the area were taking. While most were focused on being heavy for the sake of being heavy, Eternal Crypt was focused on creating melody and atmosphere, taking influences from European metal. In 2017, Eternal Crypt started recording their first official full length album, and the band has since released it at their exclusive CD release show on July 21st of 2018. At this show, the band featured their full live lineup, including Eddy Digiulio and Matt Berry on rhythm guitar and bass respectively.
