The battle against the darkness takes us to the front lines of World War I, where a reporter named Peter Jacob is writing a story from a nearby cathedral being used as a field hospital. However, the wounded soldiers don't seem to be leaving. They seem to be disappearing...\n\nI don't like Peter, honestly. He's kind of bland. But the stage is pretty good, it's Amiens again, and it does an excellent job of depicting the horrible side of war - WWI was a particularly nasty war, and the Battle of the Somme a particularly nasty battle (when all was said and done, over 1 million causalities total). The showdown at the end is kinda less epic than it should be (the other two Black Guardians are much more interesting). Overall, though, a decent enough send-off for the Cathedral.
