I was so thrilled in defeating the Golem because it was such a close call! And so, I had to make this video!
I sniff a few times in this vid because I was crying tears of joy after winning this battle. :'P

-- To sum up my battle against the Golem: --
I was doing good on my second fight against it. I got to its second phase, where I was just trying to get the Fafnir's (Guaretsen) Force Boost (it's OP, lol). With luck, I managed to bind the Golem's arms, so I went all out with elemental attacks. Once the bind went away, the Golem killed all my party but Bertrand. SOMEHOW, Flavio survived with 1HP. He had his Force Boost ready, so I used it to finish off the Golem. And in case Flavio needed one extra turn (for Force Break) to kill the Golem, I had used Bertrand's Force Break on the same turn as Flavio's Force Boost to make sure Flavio stayed alive.
Flavio leveled up after the battle; hence why his HP was 6 instead of 1.

Without saying any story spoilers, I tried fighting the Golem. I fought it a first time, expecting to lose, but I wanted to see its fighting patterns/style. So yeah, my party gets wiped out the first fight.
Then I fight it a second time, expecting a better outcome. It was on this second time I finally noticed a pattern: the Golem does a powerful Arm-based attack when you hit it with an elemental attack (its weakness) OR get rid of its buffs (like attack/defense up). [Correct me if I'm wrong.]
So, I decided to not use elemental stuff and let it stay buff. As a result, it wasn't doing its powerful move, so none of my party members had died. I get rid of its HP, and then it recovers half of its HP, so it's like I'm fighting it again, Phase 2. Thank goodness I did not use anyone's Force Break cuz then I would've been screwed! (I was THIS close to using the Hero/Guaretsen's AND Flavio's Force Break too!)
Enter Phase 2. I thought of trying to bind the Golem's arms because all of its moves are Arm-based. However, it's a bit resistant to Arm Bind, so it wouldn't have been easy. With luck, Chloe (with her Force Boost) managed to bind the Golem's arms with Armcut. Then I thought, "Cool! It can't do its powerful move, so I'll attack it with elemental stuff!"
The Hero (Guaretsen) spammed Shock Sabre; Flavio spammed his normal move (with Ice-attribute, doing ice-element attacks); and Arianna got rid of the Golem's buffs with Ad Nihilo. Golem couldn't do anything to my party. (Plus, Arianna's Prevent Order protected my party from status ailments.)
Then the arm bind went away. I thought, "Ok, time to calm down. No more elemental attacks." All of a sudden, the Golem uses its powerful arm-based attack! I was just in shock, thinking, "It's not supposed to do that! Is it because it didn't hit my party earlier when its arms were binded?!"
As I see each of my party members getting hit, I just think to myself, "Please! Somebody! Survive!" I was so close to defeating the Golem; it only had a little bit of HP left! I just see my whole party getting wiped out, with only Bertrand standing. All I could think was, "Nooo!... I was so close to my Force Boost. I don't think Bertrand can kill the Golem on his own."
In my state of distress, I then noticed Flavio's name wasn't grayed out. I was...shocked. I was sure he died! And then I see his HP! ONE HP left! I got so joyful and relieved, because I knew Flavio would be able to take out the Golem with his Force Boost! And just in case Flavio didn't kill the Golem this turn, Flavio would use his Force Break next turn; my win was guaranteed because I had used Bertrand's Force Break the same turn, which protected both himself and Flavio. Even if I didn't have Bertrand's Force Boost ready, Flavio was still able to take out the Golem with his one-turn Force Boost.
I thought it would've been the Hero (Guaretsen) who would take out the Golem. This time, Flavio saved the day; him surviving with 1HP was the true miracle win.
