Etrian Odyssey 3 HD: Kujura and Deep Princess (Final Boss and Ending - Deep City Route)

Difficulty: 8/10
Why does Kujura have a lightsaber? Anyways he has a modified version of the shogun skillset. Instead of buffing himself with great warrior he'll lower your attack instead, also pretty much all his attacks hit at least one line outside of his lunge which can do absurd damage after he charges up, if you see this you're gonna want to block. Otherwise his other scary skill is the 5 ring blade equivalent and you've seen the BS I pull off with it... and it's just as scary with him However, on it's own this fight would barely break the 7/10 range for difficulty but he has 10000 HP to go through and hits hard enough you'll need to heal which can be a challenge because as soon as you defeat him you're thrown into a fight with
Deep Princess Gutrune:
Difficulty: 9/10
On paper this fight looks fairly straightforward as her only offensive skills are a basic attack, thunder wrath which is kind of scary and can paralyze a target, and her signature move thin ice which hits the whole party and looks very pretty, she always opens with thin ice.
However she'll also use dubious mist on every turn that's a multiple of 5 which raises her defenses slightly and lowers your ice resistance a lot, so you'll really want to pack some ice mists to stop the pain train, then there's sweet song which can confuse your entire party and she invested a lot of stat points into that skill because it has an increased proc chance.
But at the same time all her battle skills use her head so she should be quite easy right? WRONG. You can get away with one head bind but once she sees that you've done it again she's going to use Ocean drop which heals off the bind and recovers over 1/3 of her HP. For the record she has 15000 HP while Kujura had 10000 so you're looking at 25000HP or more if she heals against you which means this fight has over double the health seyfried and Olympia did. Thankfully none of her attacks except a boosted thin ice will realistically one shot you so the fight isn't a scary burn phase like his battle was but instead it's a marathon that will be a drain on your resources like it's a survival horror and given what gutrune turned into maybe it is.
After you slay her enjoy the depressing ending. I'm gonna take a short break from EO3, not because of burnout but I straight up have a few other games I want to get done before July 7th because once trails into reverie comes out you already know that's going to take over the channel.
