Jeremy Beadle presented the first season who also co -devised and co- wrote the series with Clive Doig. Beadle is referred to as one of the liveliest of the new television presenters. However episode one apparently was all about who invented the ballpoint pen and the safety pin so I mean – how lively do you need to be?
Jeremy was joined by Madeline Smith, Bernard Holley, Mike Savage and Pascal King and Wilf Lunn- this cast would vary as would the presenters over the next few years. Sarah green presented it at one point as well. Sylvester McCoy was also in the cast at various stages.
