Europa Universalis 1 - Closest to World Conquest You Can Get (Fantasia)
9This is a compilation of gameplay clips from my Fantasia scenario playthrough in the GOG version of the 1st "Europa Universalis" game (played on Very Easy difficulty with Coward AI aggressiveness).
This is the closest you can get to the world conquest in EU1, as playable/major nations (ones with the golden shield) can't be vassalized nor annexed - the best you can do is shrink them down to their capitol.
I chose to play with Catalunya due to it being in the middle of the game's world (so my colonists wouldn't need a year to get to the other side of the map like they did in my EU2 Inca run) and close to 3 other nations, allowing me to attack and encircle them early on. The Civil War random event crippled my nation and delayed my expansion, but I managed to recover fairly quickly.
For some reason, the game's music doesn't work, so... enjoy the silence, I guess. :/
