To get the "Cold War" achievement, one must win a war without fighting a single battle.

This is what we shall do, in just over a year in game time. It is categorised as an easy achievement, but hey, if you haven't done it before, there is always a first time.

Since 1.12, the introduction of castles makes it even easier, as some poor small countries can't afford the maintaining fee and will shut them down at peace. Attack Bosnia and take the unfortified province of Bosnia in a month, it will soon be willing to concede defeat.

"If you only need this achievement, just start as a neighbour of a one-province nation. Attack it with all your forces, kill of their army and make peace. Then immediately attack again (breaking the truce doesn't matter) while they have no army, capture their capital and that's it."

Here my choice is the Ottomans, and our victims being Albania. Quick and easy, just as it should be.
