Eve online Mining; Low Sec; Jaspet - Chapter 1
An experiment into taking advantage of jaspet's amazing compression ratio.
Note that jaspet can also be found in high sec anomalies. (not sure if missions as well...pretty sure not but i'll check eventually)
Chapter 1 is really short. lol.
This is my current idea about how to scout out the best clusters of a particular ore as quickly as possible and with a fit that ensures a minimum of risk (obviously on sisi my only risk to my ship is PvE)
Basically this is me using first person view, a command burst to boost the range of my survey scanner to 183km, and the overview set to only asteroid belts with the order set to name...plus of course copy and pasting the results of only a certain type of ore into Evepraisal.
The price isn't exact but all we're trying to do is get some kind of relative value to determine which belts would be the best to mine on tranquility.

=======
The important bit to understand is the ability to scan any belt, anywhere, to determine which SYSTEMS and clusters of systems may be best to settle down in long term to mine Jaspet.
Not to mention which jaspet clusters are the furthest from jumpgates & routes of travel...or, conversely, are they in a system that's small enough that a Dscan will reveal anyone entering (even from a wormhole)
These are questions most important, especially since - eventually - the local pvpers will know about your presence...and the most important thing strategically is to find a compression service nearby.
Tactically speaking, one is going to be known for being, and build a reputation as, a hard target (someone who isn't blinged out and afk in a rorqual or something equally stupid, predictable, or easily camped out)
Next chapter will focus on the mining team i'll be using in low sec to harvest Jaspet. After that it will be to find low sec compression services (reprocessing) that are blue or freeport.
