Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is described as a “faithful recreation of the original story and game design” that will “evolve the gameplay with stunning visuals and a seamless user experience.”
“In addition to Konami’s development team who is involved involved in the development of the Metal Gear series, the game is fully supported by Virtuos,” the company said in a statement.
The company says that the story and voice lines in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will be brought over as is from the original.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is in development for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. It doesn’t yet have a release date.
Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection is releasing this Autumn. It features the original Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater in one collection. Konami has also confirmed that the series’ original two games that released for the MSX, Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, will also be included in Master Collection Vol. 1.
