EVGA GTX 1080Ti FTW3 Hybrid graphics card review and teardown
Jan Jonas from EVGA came into Scan HQ to show us their new GTX 1080Ti FTW3 Hybrid graphics card. We pull one apart to show you whats inside and talk about its features. This GPU has the potential to be one of the fastest cards available. The GPU chip itself and the VRM's are cooled via a all on one hydro cooler, while the rest of the card then has the onboard Fan. This takes away the the heat produced by hottest components of the card allowing cooler temperatures all round. GPU boost 3 then does the rest. Our testing saw the card running up to 1950Mhz consistently with temperatures in the low 40 degrees C! We also did some Overclocking of the card which you can see in the link further down. lets just say that with a bit of tweaking you should be able to run this card somewhere around the 2100Mhz range consistently!!
The EVGA GTX 1080Ti FTW3 Hybrid uses the latest iCX cooling technology with 9 sensors on the board. you can see the temperatures all around the card and change the cooling options of the card to get the best performance or quietest running. We have another video detailing EVGA's iCX technology for more info:
