Evil | Extreme NC Layout (Prev #1) | Geometry Dash [2.1]
This is a layout I've been messing around with on and off, and recently I decided to pick it up again to get it finished in order to turn it into an actual level, with help from @IntensaEmozione who will be decorating it. Anyway I have a lot to say lmao, this is my first time playing GD in nearly 3 months, I was taking a break/quitting, I wasn't really sure which one of the two I was going for but I'd been playing the game way too much beforehand and really needed a breath of fresh air from it, so over the past 2 months I've been picking up various new hobbies to stray away from the game a little, which I've been enjoying doing more than GD (and video games for that matter). That being said, I've wanted to release a level for a long time, so I decided to come back to finish this up. I've pretty much lost interest in really hard extremes and I can't really imagine that coming back anytime soon, so don't expect much activity from here on out. I might be uploading videos/completions once in a while, but if I do, I reckon it'll be very occasional. Anyway I'll be finishing this sometime in the foreseeable future and might stream the building process once in a while.
This will be a 1 minute long NC level with really hard gameplay, not sure how hard the final product will wind up being given its length (under 1m30), but ideally I'd want it to be around Arctic Lights difficulty. I want this level to reflect my idea of what a skill based level should be, with difficulty that stems from hard timings and sheer muscle memory rather than spam, which I feel a lot of hard NC levels tend to do too much. If I'm being honest, while playing the parts is satisfying I don't expect this to be a fun level to try to beat at all given how concentrated the difficulty will be, but rather a very satisfying one to complete, which is exactly what I'm going for. I'm really happy with this so far, I think this is shaping up to be a really good level for what it's meant to be. The only part I'm truly dissatisfied with is the first ship (too much holding), so I'll probably end up changing it up, as well as buff the predrop as a whole so as to prevent the level from being boring from 0, but minor flaws put aside I'm liking this a lot more than Wonderpunch, which looking back on had many flaws that I can definitely improve upon. I may or may not be verifying this myself depending on whether I'm left with enough free time to do so by the time Isane is done decorating it, so we'll cross that bridge when we get to it. I mainly uploaded this video to clarify where I've been at and what I have in mind for the future. Anyway guys see ya around!!!
