Started fun with interesting setting, but the more I progressed, the more the game loop became repetitive.
The most glaring issue is the lack of reliable energy generation. Without energy you'll quickly run out of ammo and options to deal with elites and bosses in a quick manner.
Starting a fight with 3 energy bars compared to 0 is heaven and earth in combat length.
Other than that, bosses weren't very well designed, and the entire game runs on rails.
Exploration only means finding more cash and occasional skin / skill / perk loot.
The story is bland, uninteresting, and all characters besides the main two you're introduced with look totally unappealing.
Every new gear / feature that you unlock is pretty much just another resource to blow in combat that rolls on a fixed cooldown.
Honestly, once you've been past the 3rd stage, you've pretty much seen most of what the game has to offer. The rest of it is more of the same, that only gets easier and easier the further you level up.
Highest difficulty is the typical lazy approach of more damage sponging + more damage taken.
Real shame, I was expecting more.
Get it maybe on a sale, but you're not really missing much.
