Evolution of Acro in Kirby Games (1995-2016)
Enjoy my video about the Evolution of Acro in Kirby Games.
Acro is a boss character that appears in Kirby's Dream Land 3 and Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. He is a large orca whale that apparently lives in a deep sea trench in Aqua Star. He is not entirely evil, however, as he was under the influence of Dark Matter mischief. His name is also orca backwards, a reference to his species.
►Timecodes & Informations
[00:00] Kirby's Dream Land 2 (1995 - Game Boy)
In Stage 5 of the Red Canyon, there is a dark room with a portrait of an orca, only visible with Kine and Spark. It is actually a hidden door that leads to an island with 7 stars, two Glunks, two Propeller Bombs, and two Scarfys. An orca called Acro was introduced in a bossfight in the two sequels "Kirby's Dream Land 3" & "Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards".
[00:25] Kirby's Dream Land 3 (1997 - Super Nintendo)
Acro is the boss of Ripple Field, having been disturbed by Dark Matter.
If all the Heart Stars are collected for Ripple Field, Acro will be cured of his anger and become friendly the next time Kirby enters the arena.
In Boss Butch, the battle takes place outdoors, possibly below a sandstone cliff, as seen in the first phase of the battle.
[03:48] Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards (2000 - Nintendo 64)
Acro, who relocated on Aqua Star, gets disturbed again when he somehow stumbles across a Crystal Shard in the water.
[06:05] Super Smash Bros. Brawl (2008 - Wii)
Acro appears as a collectible sticker in the game, using his artwork from Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. He can be used on Peach and Zelda to strengthen their magic attacks.
[07:10] Kirby: Planet Robobot (2016 - Nintendo 3DS)
Mech Acro is a robotic orca created by the Haltmann Works Company. It is based on the design of Acro.
Mech Acro appears exclusively in Stages 5 and 7 of Overload Ocean and Stage 7 of Access Ark.
