My favorite of the bunch is the Alpha-Gel Grip because it accepts a great gel cartridge, where the original three are restricted to crappy ballpoint refills. One thing I've done to help this is use a 1.4mm ballpoint refill from the Laknock series ( http://amzn.to/2GoB7bN ) but even this isn't my favorite. Unfortunately the refills the original Alpha Gel pens use ruin them for me, even though I love the design of these pens.

If you know anything about the Alpha Gel line of pens, I'd love to hear it. For example, why are the pens sold as Uni, not Uni-ball? And why are the mechanical pencils in the line sometimes sold as Mitsubishi?
