From the devs: "Excubitor is a Sci-fi action tower defense game played from an overhead perspective with intense action and depth, featuring exhilarating ship combat, unique terrestrial and space environments, strategic defense planning and massive boss fights. You are in control of the SST-77 Hammerhead, a prototype combat ship designed for both for terrestrial and exo-atmospheric endeavors. The ship is loaded with new features that give it unique flight abilities and a constantly upgrading supply of weapons.

The Hammerhead is accompanied by Antares, a Generation III research vessel, which acts as its base of operations and must be protected at all costs. The game is telling the story (arcade style) of what happens when the player receives a distress call from the Isigura Station, on the planet Farris in the Baphomet star system.

This is a story of struggle for survival, a battle against all odds, as one resourceful pilot utilizes the amazing tools of the SST-77 Hammerhead to press on and traverse from planet to planet, to unravel the secrets behind the mysterious attacks.
