Exemptions to CAA rule to allow 1000ft altitude throw multirotor pilots under the bus
On the 30th July 2018 some new rules around model flying in the UK came into law. The BMFA, SAA, LMA, and FPV UK organisations got two exemptions to this rule passed, but all is not as it seems.
So it works that if you are a member of one of these orgnasiations, then you can follow the terms of the exemption to fly up to 1000ft in altitude... unless you are flying a multirotor (or in the case of FPV) have an autopilot.
