Exercise Austere Wolf: UK commando divers lead deployment into Albania
428UK personnel have taken part in Exercise Austere Wolf 2024 - a major exercise on the coast of Albania, at the same time as other key Nato deployments in the region.
The Balkans is a region that has experienced recent and historical conflict, and exercising here with Nato allies is significant. It comes during a period of increased military cooperation among the UK and nations in the region.
Albania is a fully-fledged member of Nato and a challenging deployment like this tests the UK military’s ability to implement its forces into difficult environments.
