In an exciting development, Icarus just started offering dedicated servers for the game. They are still in beta, but they promise to really help with the performance issues of the previous peer to peer system by taking some heavy lifting off of the player clients. Let's start one up an see how it runs. IronMine will be using it ongoing and I'll report back on how it does over time as the maps get explored, harvested, and built out.
