Exploring the Inner Solar System- Timelapse of every deep space mission inside the Asteroid Belt
When I started plotting objects, I figured why not plot all of them. In this video I present every deep space mission ever, focusing on inside the Asteroid Belt, with the best trajectory information that we have for them. Sources include JPL Horizons and NASA Space Physics Data Facility (SPDF), among other more minor ones. The really old missions don't have accurate digital data, I've included the best that I can find, and might do another version with improved data later on. Even some more modern missions like Galileo are missing some data.
This includes missions from ESA, JAXA, NASA, RosCosmos, India, and China, to the best of the publicly available data. I have poor data for some missions, and no data for several. If there is a desire, I can do this video again with estimated tracks for the missing objects, or using data that is provided from other sources.
I am happy to take suggestions on how to improve this further, and may yet make another video of this.
