'Sound Tide') is an upcoming free-to-play action role-playing game developed and published by the game company Kuro Games. It is set to release on May 23, 2024 (UTC+8).\n\nA gacha game with an open world aspect, Wuthering Waves has been compared to other titles such as Genshin Impact. It aims to place more of an emphasis on combat than its predecessors.\n\nWuthering Waves is set in a futuristic post-apocalyptic open world, where a mysterious catastrophe known as the Lament swept the globe, wiping out most of humanity and leaving it on the verge of extinction. After the calamity, unknown beings and monsters appeared around the world, but humanity soon adapted to the threat and found a way to cope and live with the monsters, slowly rebuilding civilization.\n\nWuthering Waves is set in an open world. The player gets to control the protagonist, the Rover, as well as recruited units called Resonators, which are split into 4-star and 5-star rarities.
