Don't even ask how I somehow manage to find Darkbeast Paarl when the day's agenda was originally exploring Hemwick graveyard. I was told I missed a rune in there and I'm glad I ended up going back for it. It's a 3% defense rune but any rune's better than an empty slot.

As for Paarl, he's intimidating at first no doubt. It has powerful aoe swipes, an aoe blast that deals more damage the farther away you are, and an electrical wave coming off of it's swipes when it's charged to further increase it's range.

Early on Darkbeast Paarl will be a challenge, but around level 40 he becomes rather easy with the right strategy. Remember, staggering this behemoth is easy just hit it's legs and then head. Visceral attacks are great then follow it with a charge attack on it's head to usually stagger it again (depending on your weapon).

This all all based on my experience here, and co-oping earlier so I'm still learning Paarl no doubt.
