4,272I have an issue with $70 games. Not because I’m anti-price increases if they have a valid reason but because they come at the expense of the consumer while companies show record profits. Over a decade ago a game would cost you $50 brand new and now that’s how much they get discounted down to, not only that but they will have overpriced DLC, with season passes for you to get some cosmetic changes and will show you every time you load up the game what's on sale in the store. Modern-day gaming is becoming nothing more than money first and quality games second. Now we are getting into the stages of NFTs and $120 games are being floated about as ideas and enough is enough. However, the story isn’t as simple as all that. Yes, all those are massive issues in the landscape of the modern gaming landscape but to use it as a blanket statement and not dive deep into the underlying reasons for all of this would be misleading. So let’s sit down today and discuss the case against $70 games.
