Well THIS was unexpected! F-Zero 99 gets a classic update! This also adds more badge stuff to unlock and a daily lucky rank reward system. They also patched out those "exploited" shortcuts that certain few was doing in certain tracks.

Special Event Classic is like F-Zero SNES rules. Racers are 20 max, you get one S booster each lap, no Spin Attacks & Skyways, the tracks are as they were in F-Zero SNES meaning not wide like in F-Zero 99 games, SNES-like mechanics and the resolution is 4.3 ratio.

Well I'm not complaining. Glad this game got another update. I try out the classic event. Mechanics are definitely different that I crashed out the first race. Was unexpected heh. I also somewhat struggle hitting walls in other races since things felt different. I'll have to get used to it.

Classic Event is definitely for people that is a fan of the SNES experience of the past. It's less chaotic and requires skill. I like it. There's just a few things I have a small issue with.

The SNES had 5 laps but this classic event kept the 4 lap races. Not giving us 5 laps is odd. The 4.3 ratio thing they didn't need to bring that to this event. You don't rank out being at lower ranks like the SNES does. That's ok. I have no issue with that. Just wanted to point that out.

I wish they put Classic event as it's own category like F-Zero 99 has instead of popping up at times, like Mini Prix, Grand Prix, Team Battle and Pro Tracks.

Well I got more goals to do now with those new badges. One of them requires you to race on all tracks once in the Classic event. That's fine and all but that's gonna come down to votes unfortunately so I have to pray the other racers do vote on all of them.

Another thing is that it doesn't count the Grand Prix final courses which is Silence, White Land II & Fire Field. I wish you could race on them as well in Classic Event. I hope they change this in the future because those tracks are still stuck as GP only courses so far. At least let them be available for the Classic event too!

Oh by the way I finally got the level 99 badge. I've reached the maximum level 99 and the maximum skill rank S20. If it weren't for the classic update I think I wouldn't play this game as much because I was satisfied acquiring just about everything in the game. I would've only came back whenever I want to...or when certain people motivate me to join them...heh.

One more thing. I was finally curious about how high your Power Meter can extend so you see me testing this out in certain races until I finally saw the meter doesn't extend no more. I took a picture for reference on how long the max meter looked and the colors on it. 7 (unless I miscounted) seems to be the max.

[AZL9S NOTES]
Basically F-Zero from the SNES but as a Racing Royale game of up to 99 players online and added stuff from other F-Zero games like the Boost from F-Zero X, GX, etc. that uses your Power (Health).

Note that at times you'll see me waiting on the Race mode menu because I wanted to try to enter in a lobby with Twitch streamers I subbed to...mostly TSM BarbarousKing.
