Pre season testing is finally over and that means it is race week for the first time as F1 prepares for the start of the 2024 season in Bahrain so it is time for my preview and predictions, can Ferrari or Mercedes or Mclaren catch the Red Bull and stop Max Verstappen from running away and dominating the first race of the year. Well Ferrari were fastest in pre season testing and Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz are looking like they are in a great position to take the fight to Red Bull and Verstappen. Sergio Perez will be looking to try and stay on terms with Max Verstappen this year but it will take a lot of work from the Mexican driver.
Mercedes were looking good in race trim and Lewis Hamilton and George Russell could be in a position in races but they may be vulnerable in qualifying. Aston Martin is hard to read currently but they ended day 3 looking strong. Mclaren have potential but Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri did have some struggles during testing with reliability and race pace.
