The 2024 F1 season is drawing nearer and nearer. After Max Verstappen absolutely dominated the 2023 season I will be seeing if he can do the same again, or will the likes of Ferrari, Mercedes, Mclaren be able to put up a fight as Charles Leclerc was starting to look more comfortable towards the end of the year in 2023, Carlos Sainz was the only non Red Bull driver to win a race. For Mercedes Lewis Hamilton is looking to win his first race since the 2021 season and George Russell is looking to get back to winning ways after a difficult 2023 season. For Mclaren they have two drivers itching to win their first ever Grand Prix, Lando Norris came so close in 2021 but missed out at Sochi, Oscar Piastri did win the Qatar Sprint Race but is yet to win a grand prix, can either of them do it in 2024?
Not only that but F1 is shaping up for the biggest season ever with 24 races and 6 sprint races as Shanghai and the Chinese Grand Prix return to the calendar as does the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix at Imola. Not only that but there will be a talking point for drivers as no one has changed teams meaning that the current drivers who were underperforming are under more pressure than ever to perform as there are a lot of rookie drivers looking to find a place on the grid should anyone struggle.
Pirelli are once again the tyre suppliers and it will be interesting to see what if any changes they make to the tyres.
