Friday practice at Budapest is over and the fastest driver of the day was Lando Norris in the Mclaren and Mclaren are looking like they will be unstoppable this weekend as the race pace and qualifying pace of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri were untouchable despite them both being heavily compromised during the session, Ferrari are looking like they will be the closest threat as Charles Leclerc was looking very strong and just behind the Mclaren over one lap but in the race runs not even they could get close. Teammate Lewis Hamilton looked to be a little bit behind and we saw a lot of mistakes today from Lewis and several other drivers as the new Budapest circuit does not look to be offering up much grip.
Red Bull looked to be really struggling but this could just be because they had things turned a long way down and we should see more from them as the weekend unfolds but Max Verstappen was struggling when it came to the race runs and Red Bull will have to fix any balance issues that they currently have.
The Hungaroring is a challenging, twisty Formula 1 track located near Budapest, Hungary, known for its lack of long straights and difficulty in overtaking. Its layout resembles a karting circuit, demanding high downforce and well-sorted chassis. The track's technical nature makes qualifying crucial, as overtaking opportunities are limited.
