Context: In the game files for Fable, lies evidence of a quest that was removed from the final game. The name of this quest is "Ritual Sacrifice" and could have been based in the Chapel of Skorm.

The Summary for this quest states that you were meant to help prevent a sacrifical ceremony from taking place. Wether or not this quest was tied to the Chapel of Skorm or not is uncertain, but it seems very likely given its name.

Note: There is very little evidence of this quests existence, outside of some text entries that can still be found in the game. None of this dialogue was made by the developers, I just tried to fill in the gaps so that the cutscene actually made sense.

Bare in mind that this is not a developer made cutscene and is merely my interpretation of how the cutscene may have played out, based on the evidence.
