Instructions for setting up the dedicated headless server for Factorio:
- Go to your Factorio.exe folder (probably located under C:\Program Files\Factorio\bin\x64, or in your Appdata\Roaming folder which you get to by typing in %appdata% in your windows search bar).
- Create a text document in that x64 folder and type this in: start /wait Factorio.exe --start-server SAVENAME.zip
- Obviously replace SAVENAME.zip with the name of the save you want the server to load. It is case sensitive as well.
- Save the file as server.bat and set file type to All Files.
- Then just use that server.bat file to start up the server.
